NOTICE BOARD
Match on Saturday 13th December vs Somersham is OFF!!! (11/12/2008)

Tomorrow's Match (26/09/2008)

Tomorrow we are playing at home against Priory Parkside.

Kick off is at 10.30am and we'd like as many supporters as possible for this key game.

Please make sure that you arrive at the ground for about 9:50, so that the boys can greet each other, muck about a bit and we get 30 mins to prep them before kick off.

C'MON BUCKDEN, C'MON MERLINS

Trainers are the correct footwear for training at Catworth (24/09/2008)

The Catworth training pitch is an all weather pitch, so trainers are the correct footwear for the boys to train in on Wednesday nights.

For saturday training sessions on the Buckden pitch the boys will need to wear boots unless the ground is too hard when trainers will be safer. For those sessions assume bots unless we advise differently.

As always if you have any questions then please ask either Johnny, Andy or Simon.

Wednesday Training Moves to Catworth (23/09/2008)

From now on Wednesday training sessions will be held at the Catworth Village Hall and playing field complex.

When we train on Saturday's we will train at the Buckden Pitch.

If you need any more information please feel free to ask Andy

No Training on Wednesday 17th September (12/09/2008)

Training has been cancelled on Wednesday 17th as the Staty Fair is on in Kimbolton.

The next training session will be Saturday 20th at the Buckden ground.

See the fixture list for details.

Kick Off Time for the Match vs Hemingford juniors has changed (08/09/2008)

On Saturday we are away for our first league match vs Hemingford Juniors.

There is a map in the documents section and I'll post some directions this evening.

Kick off will be at 11.15am NOT the usual time , so you won't have to be at the ground until 10.35am

Kit Audit (07/09/2008)

Thanks to everybody that responded to let me know what type of shirt you have.

I should be able to sort out a kit that looks the same before the game on Saturday.

The good news is that this will only be a temporary measure because we are to be issued with a new kit shorty. The club already have shorts and socks for us, but we are going to wait until the shirts arrive before we distribute the new kit.

I'm not sure when that will be but hopefully in time for our 2nd league fixture.

More friendliy fixtures added (03/09/2008)

Two more friendlies have been added to the list. Please check the fixture list for details.

Training - Saturday 6th September (03/09/2008)

...will be on the Buckden playing field. Please be at the seat on the far side of the pitch and ready to start for 10.30am.

The session will finish around 12 Noon.

See you all then. If have any questions or if you can't make it then please let Andy know.

First friendly fixture added to the schedule (27/08/2008)

We will be playing one of the Brampton teams Away on the 18th October. See the fixture schedule for details.

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
